About me
I am a junior UX designer with a background in visual arts, music and management. I strive to deliver elegant and concise user-centred solutions to provide joyful and impactful user experiences. Fascinated by the countless ways to communicate and interpret information and ideas, I am a firm believer that collaboration is vital for success and previous roles in teams of various types have allowed me to develop skills for effective teamwork in many situations and environments.

Research and testing of the existing journey validated assumptions and uncovered causes of high bounce rates at significant points. The form-filling part of the journey created friction due to lack of help or clarity. Additionally, users understood the service to be complete once they had been switched to a new supplier, unaware of the long-term benefits, where much of the value is derived. To combat this issue we made improvements to the hierarchy of the content on the homepage to effectively and clearly communicate the complete value. Using insights from four rounds of user testing the design of the interactive prototype was continuously iterated and an improved order for the pages in the form-filling journey was created. Furthermore, increasing the clarity of the questions reduced cognitive load, resulting in a quicker pace through the form filling process with users reporting higher levels of confidence than in previous journeys.

My degree studies in Fine Art Painting at Camberwell College of Arts encouraged exploration of the medium and consideration of its historical connection with social, cultural and political change. I wrote my dissertation on the subject of visual display and how the context, category or order in which items or objects are placed affects how they are perceived or interpreted.
