About me
I’ve recently moved to London after spending a year working in a fine-art photo-lab in Kreuzberg, Berlin. I have over 8 years experience operating in Photography and retouching, including over 5 years working in fast-paced, colour managed fine-art print and design. I’m a fully trained professional photographer with advanced skills in most areas of image processing. I am an advanced user of Photoshop, Lightroom and Capture One Pro. Further to this, in my last two roles with photo-labs I have gained skills in a wider range of image output solutions. I have a great passion for art photography and was extremely fortunate to be spending the last year working in a photo-lab which services extremely highly respected artists in Berlin and the wider European area.

I moved to Berlin last September to explore a new culture and broaden the scope of my career. I soon found a position with d’mage, a fine art service and photo lab which is very well respected in fine art circles of Berlin. d’mage is a small team of specialists and as such my role became quite versatile; from print production, retouching and high-end scans, to providing technical support and arranging transport solutions for large pieces of artwork. There is also a not-for-profit section of the business set up for students and artists to print their own work. Part of my role was to help set up these students and artists to be able to print their own works of art.

Print finisher and digital post production specialistBlue Sky Printing
     - Chelmsford, United KingdomFull Time
I worked closely with the founders of Blue Sky Printing almost from the start of their business. While I was there the company evolved from a simple pop-up enterprise, to a fully fledged photo-lab/ workshop which caters for both fine art clients and fast, on the spot design and manufacture of high quality photo gifts and prints. I truly loved the nature of my role, working with all types of clients to edit their artwork for print, then make their gift or artwork normally within the next 30 minutes to an hour. I had to be adaptable and fast learning as the business grew to encompass different products, services and equipment. Further to their many other products, when Blue Sky Printing became Chromaluxe approved I was in charge of producing the highly popular photo panels.
