Working on promoting and connections through social media for Hashtag has been about using that platform to create more followers. It is about working online to share photography works, and produce articles, to uphold the views for the magazine, create a buzz. Sharing, sourcing and finding images to share with the audience via social media. Managing all social media platforms for the magazine, interacting with the viewers, and posting great photography.
After finding out my previous experience with After Nyne as a regular arts writer and fashion journalist, PAUSE contacted me to work as a writer and cover shows remotely. I have been working online to produce reviews on fashion weeks such as London Collections Men, Milan Fashion Week, and Paris Fashion Week. I am continuing to cover and hopefully attend more shows for the magazine.
I started writing online segments and articles for After Nyne in 2014, covering fashion weeks, most recently has been London Fashion Week. During fashion week I had to work with models, designers interviewing at a fast pace. It also requires visits to opening nights of exhibitions in London; e.g Richard Diebenkorn, Art 16, many other shows and meeting curators. This has been a two year role, and is still ongoing and every piece I write is credited to me. The role also involves working with PR companies and bloggers/ instagrammers to promote event, and also interviews with artists to then lead to further events/written articles for the magazine. I find that taking part in this position is a way for me to continue to gain experience and expand my writing skills, interviewing and journalism techniques.
