About me

I am an in-house designer at the European Commission. I have designed a range of publications and other media, including annual reports, brochures, staff magazine, leaflets, flyers, posters, postcards, folders, certificates, bookmarks, fact sheets, infographics, images for the web and social media, branding for events, signage, roll-ups and backdrops for press conferences. I am used to producing designs in various languages (usually in English and French, but sometimes in all 24 official EU languages). In my spare time, I have worked on a few projects (branding, brochures, flyers) for clients in Brussels and London. What I enjoy most is working on the layout of large publications. There is something really exciting about transforming dull, long Word documents into attractive publications. I work for a large institution and I’m used to corporate design requirements. I enjoy the challenge of pushing creative boundaries within strict corporate guidelines. I have experience working with non-designers, often senior people, and designing for quite abstract subjects like better regulation or transparency register. I am used to working to tight deadlines and going through many revisions without compromising on the quality of my work. Conscientious by nature, I pay attention to details. I am adventurous. In my design, I like to challenge my clients with a different approach, something they do not expect. Sometimes it ends up being rejected, but in most cases I get the wow reaction. In life, I like to take not typical paths.
