I am a documentary photographer who specialises in portraiture. I graduated in 2020 with a 1st Class BA Hons in Photography. Within my work, I address social issues such as gender inequality, family and mental health. My photography is quiet and considered whilst remaining powerful. I work well on my own and in collaboration with others. I have an interest in editorial work.
Projects
- Stranger At The DoorAs this country entered lockdown on 23 March 2020, I was unable to return home from university straight away, as my dad’s treatment for cancer placed him in the ‘at risk of severe illness’ category. For his protection, I self-isolated for 14 days with my grandparents. It was 10 years since I had slept in this house, as a small child. I eventually returned to my familiar home environment, but the circumstances were far from normal.

For Vimbai-Rose, some of the challenges come from social barriers; “being a young black creative is a different situation, I definitely find myself having to work 10 times harder to be appreciated.” The shutting down of live venues is a limiting of creative possibilities for Herbie Bone, while for Josh
