About me
A hard working, self-motivated and confident individual with a passion for writing and a love of marketing. I have excellent communication skills, enjoy working as part of a likeminded and dynamic team and have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. I am extremely articulate and have a proven track record of working well under pressure. I have spent that past year working in a fast paced marketing company and am looking to expand my knowledge and experience in a progressive, creative business.

Key responsibilities of a buying assistant include working closely with suppliers, deciding which products will appeal to target audiences and making executive decisions on how to market merchandise. This requires a relationship to be built with the supplier, in order to allow for negotiations in relation to pricing, air time and marketing techniques. A Buying Assistant also works alongside Senior Buyers pre-production, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate, as well as ensuring detailed production notes are available for live filming. The role also requires close collaboration with the post-production team, gathering feedback on potential improvements. The role is high pressure and fast-paced, given the imposed deadlines of live television production and, therefore, requires the Buying Assistant to be enthusiastic, highly organised and adaptable.
