A 23 year old with an overactive vivid imagination. I had my first article published in a magazine when I was 15 years old and have been writing and editing ever since. I have experience working with both print and online publications and am also a keen social media manager. I also have an eye for graphic and web design. Not just a creative, I have recently been working at a law firm as a paralegal/PA to a busy team of five solicitors, thus developing my soft skills to enable me to thrive in a fast paced and deadline driven working environment. I currently work as a paralegal at a central London law firm. It is a busy role that has enabled me to develop my ability to prioritise tasks and to work well within a team.
I worked as a recruiter at Caselton Clark. During my time at the company, I set up and developed and managed various departments' social media presences and taught members of staff at all levels how to use social media to enable them to achieve their targets.
I worked alongside another University of Kent student to grow Student Beans, Kent. We worked together from when the site was first launched and created exciting and engaging content to grow our audience. I worked with the editor to manage a small team of other contributors to ensure that targets were met and that we were the most successful local edition on the site.
The Daily Touch - University of Kent I was the inaugural Editor for the DT at Kent. I underwent a week-long training programme at the Daily Touch offices in Manchester before recruiting a small team of writers on campus. I wrote and edited content, topics ranges from current affairs to entertainment - think BuzzFeed, but just for University of Kent students. I chaired weekly meetings with my team to brainstorm ideas and fed them back to the team in Manchester and the other campus editors. I also managed our social media platforms.
I wrote a number of features for The French Paper - a national newspaper for expats in France.
I graduated in 2016 with a 2.1 in American Studies. I had the opportunity to study a wide range of topics from environmental history to the culture of the Wild West. I also had the opportunity to study a broad spectrum of modules alongside my degree, I joined a number of Linguistics modules and as well as a a Comparitive Art module.
