Having worked at Henry London for a year and a half now, I have gained invaluable skills within the field of Social Media. My responsibilities within this job include but are not limited to:
- Drafting and scheduling content for Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, which includes creating a content calendar, using scheduling apps such as Hootsuite, editing photos and creating captions, as well as using appropriate hashtags and tagging product within images.
- Influencer engagement and outreach - researching which influencers would be the best fit for our brand and then contacting and negotiating to produce content we can use on our social media platforms.
- Monitoring the success of our social media growth within weekly reports, as well as monitoring our competitor’s growth.
- Using Adobe Photoshop to edit images and create content for Instagram Stories.
- Brainstorming and planning ideas for social campaigns.
- SEO copywriting.
- Optimising content for different social media channels, for example Instagram stories or Facebook posts
- Working with paid social, this includes creating page like campaigns for Facebook, boosting posts on Facebook and Instagram, learning how to utilise lookalike audiences and targeting.
- Building influencer relationships and facilitating monthly photoshoots for Instagram content, demonstrating my photography skills.

My communication and teamwork skills have also improved enormously as a result of successful presentations on topics such as PR. Throughout my time at university I have developed a flair for writing different styles of copy, from online to print my writing skill has matured and can be adapted easily to a house style.
