I studied Mechanical Engineering at “Universidad de Oviedo” in (Spain) and “Strathclyde University” in Glasgow (Scotland) before starting my career as Q/A inspector at Fluor.com in 1997.
Attracted by the German engineering, I joined back in 1999 Continental AG in Hannover (Germany) as international trainee and tire engineer, where I developed serial production winter tires. During this period I wrote several patents on winter tires, tire studs and studding technology before leading these projects into serial production products.
In 2003, I managed the “IceRacingContact” project, Conti´s first ice racing tire line using my patented stud technology, developing it to success with top class racing drivers such as Alain Prost, and mastering its performance on the French series Trophée Andros.
In 2005 I returned to Spain to join Derbi, PIAGGIO´s motorcycle brand in Barcelona as Development Manager for production scooters, as well as special bike concepts such as the Derbi DH2.0 and the GPR EV, my first electric motorcycle development.
In 2008, I attended a Post-grade in Marketing Management at EADA Business School (Barcelona), and became Derbi Brand Manager.
In 2010 I founded my own company: TZprojects, a product development company specialized on interim vehicle development, project management global sourcing and industrialization. Since then, I have been giving interim management and consultation services to several EU companies and Start-Ups to date.
