     - Glasgow, United KingdomInternship
    3 weeks internship at Timorous Beasties Studio. Responsibilities included, receiving and putting together all the fabric and wallpaper sample requests that had been ordered online and in store ready for mailing. Cutting up samples of wallpaper and fabric designs that were running low. Putting together sample files of a selection of designs for interior companies. Assisting in the studio with printing of fabric and wallpaper, drying and getting fabric ready for printing.

    1 week internship at the company. Responsibilities included, stepping up and helping the main Pleater with his sunray pleats for well known designer clients after his injury. Receiving all mail, logging and booking all orders. Loading and emptying the steamer with all the pleated work. Un supervised, I completed an order of accordion pleated curtains for a coach company. Also wrapping and mailing all the orders at the end of every day.

    Currently in my third year, i specialise in Hand Printed Textiles. I have learnt all the technical processes that go along with creating hand screen printed textiles, from hand dying fabrics and papers using procion, acid, indigo and remazol to stretching, coating and exposing screens. I have learnt how to mix up various print pastes including discharge, devore, crimp, procion, pigment as well as using industrial equipment such as heat presses, jet washes, exposing units, steamers and baking cabinets.
