I am a writer and an artist. I was born in the U.K., but my upbringing was spent abroad, exposing me to many cultures. My practice revolves around embodied experiences and tend to be movement based. My work involves the intersectionality of cultures in contemporary art, and my current research takes a unique lens on the relationship between ancient and modern cultural practices.
I use practice-based approaches and outside of that enjoy writing with and about contemporary art/performance from an editorial point of view.
Projects
- Thinking BackThinking Back is a video performance dedicated to our current lack of collective space. It appeals to the nostalgia of crowds in rave culture and spaces of liberation. It is about holding onto spaces of joyful defiance. It is accompanied by a print to provide you with a trace of the performance, reminding you of the experience of Thinking Back.
