Irina is a SW London based fashion and portrait photographer that has a conceptual approach to her work. Her passion for photography was born out of a need to escape reality and it has become her way of expressing herself. She graduated in 2013 with a Foundation Degree in Arts - Professional Photography from The City of Westminster College . She exhibited her work several times as part of the Free Range Art Show @Truman Brewery .
Fascinated by dance , the bound human body and capturing movement, she photographs professional models, dancers as well as actors. She takes inspiration from the surrealist and expressionist movements. She strives to communicate a certain mood through her images and create painterly , graphic and rather quirky photography.

- Plastic FuturesWorked with makeup artist Vivian Dang who planned a collaborative project called Plastic Futures, featuring Vivian's makeup art, fashion jewellery designer Marcin GieBultowski and photographer Irina Chira. Using the theme of recycled milk bottles and the concept Vivian had come up with, I designed a floating, white and sweeping set for the images to be taken using white bin-liners and scrap organza fabric.

Working to both prescriptive and loosely defined briefs received from clients, while maintaining a keen eye for detail and a structured approach. Responsible with production , art direction , manipulation & output , managing the work-flow, creating mood boards, location scouting, models casting & booking, editing & retouching (for e- commerce , I am familiar with layer clipping masks , skin retouching , selections, colour corrections etc.).
I photograph high-quality images for both print and online distribution. I successfully shoot photographs in controlled lab, field and remote environments. I have e-commerce photography experience , including invisible mannequin photography and look-books for designers using professional models.
I photograph shows (dress rehearsals ) in the West End , collaborating with the production companies and PR. My photos were printed in the theatre programme or published online and in newspapers.
Designing and updating my website and accurately archive my images. I undertake plenty of visual and industry research and use social media for networking and marketing. I produce and coordinate test and editorial photo shoots.
I am a member of the AOP as photographer assistant . I assist other professional photographers. First Photographer Assistant to: Vikki Ellis ; Samuel Waters ; Dominic Nicholls ; Marcelo Benfield . Duties included: Lighting setup in the studio or setting up on location photography studio, Capture One digital operation , backing up files, holding reflectors / speed-lights , second shooting , in charge of health and safety etc.
