My role as Head of Digital Marketing at online jewellery boutique My Flash Trash meant taking control of all social media and planning a comprehensive social media strategy. I had sole responsibility for upkeep of all social media platforms owned by My Flash Trash, including Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, Vine, YouTube, Polyvore and was the voice of the brand across these platforms. I created graphics for the website and social channels. I also managed the email marketing for the brand. I worked closely with a team of bloggers on a scheme called My Flash Trash Blog Ambassadors, sending them jewellery to be featured on their blogs. I created all content for the brand’s own blog, covering topics that were relevant to the company, and making sure these posts were optimised for SEO. Another part of my role was to arrange photo and video shoots with talent to post on the blog and various social platforms. As well as this I worked in the CMS, managing product uploads, copywriting, and some general website management.
