Projects
- Scarlett O’Hara: Gone With The Wind (1939)Keeping film moving toward the future is of utmost importance for the leading artists emerging in costume design. The V&A Museum invited costume and performance collaborators to engage with their project “Screen to Seams”, allowing us to see classic films in a new light. This project challenged me to recontextualise one of the most iconic and controversial films in Hollywood history in an innovative and contemporary way.
- Bobby Ray: To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! (1995)Continuing on in the pursuit of learning about materiality and developing skills with new mediums, I have fully constructed a costume for Bobby Ray from the film “To Wong Foo”. My focus for this project is a specialism in leatherwork, learning the process from cowhide to finished garments.
