About me
I have a BA Honours degree in Film Production from Brighton Film School, working under contemporary studio practice. Working towards this degree has allowed for collaboration across multiple disciplines in filmmaking and subsequently, I have developed my passion for cinematography and the limitless possibilities this area of production offers.
My philosophy on film stems from a love of entertainment and immersion of cinema; absorbing the audience into the action on screen and other worlds for a short time before returning back to reality. Cinematography offers the opportunity to enhance a characters idiosyncrasies, establish hierarchy within a frame, generate visceral responses and provide the boundary between script and screen.
I am only starting out in this industry, but I have worked on various productions at Brighton Film School as Director of Photography and Editor and I have had paid work as an event Videographer. Working so closely with my peers at this level has given me the opportunity and confidence to enrich my life with other peoples stories and develop our skills together.

Helping develop the story with the writer/director, I was heavily involved from day 1. As DP, I worked with the director on how to best capture a fictional story based on a real life event. Heightened domesticity was the visual style behind the cinematography and added a cinematic look on reality by subtly raising everyday domestic lighting and colour palette.
Main duties involved aiding and crewing up camera and lighting departments, technical location scouting, equipment testing and shooting and overseeing production days ensuring both departments are in sync with the rest of the crew and production team.

Myself and a peer applied to help ‘ethOS” in partnership with ‘Comic Relief’ to conduct a viewing study similar to the style of ‘Gogglebox’ (Channel 4). Main duties Involved setting up multiple cameras in a non-intrusive setup to capture audiences responses to certain content during the live broadcast of ‘Comic Relief 2019’

Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in filmmaking and film production. Using professional cinema equipment to build our skillset and understanding of industry standard filmmaking as well as documentary, music promotional video and moving image. Learning and operating to an industry professional level in all stages of production from development through to post-production. The third and final year will bring everything together to achieve an overall BA Hons degree from the University of Brighton.
