Front-of-house bar work to help support my studies whilst at University. YUSU is a not-for-profit organisation, reinvesting all profits made into employees and business development.
Worked as a Gaffer/Spark for one day on a three-day film production of an online advert. The role involved assisting the Cinematographer throughout the day and working with the Key Grip, to ensure that creative lighting requests were executed efficiently and safely.
A 1-month internship working within an innovative and fast-growing film production company. Responsibilties ranged from working in production roles on various film shoots, as well as being tasked with a variety of post production, often creatively seeing the brief from start to finish.
Was asked to shoot prospectus-style material for a new college website that was in development at the time. Was required to cover a broad range of areas, including various location work, as well as talking heads and portraits. The images would act as temporary place holders during the development of the site and presentation to the client. Multiple post-production meetings with the lead designer took place after the shoot in order to effectively edit and handover the material as desired.
Work experience. Worked on 2 separate film shoots spread over 2 weeks, one involving a TEDx speakers event in London, the other involving a promotional video for database-system software at a Brighton secondary school. The contrast between the two locations allowed me to experience a great variety of tasks and role responsibility. I was given the opportunity to assist the cinematographer during the promotional shoot, and operate a camera during the TEDx online broadcast.
