SONY MUSIC 2015 - Present Job Description – International Marketing Manager • Develop & communicate international marketing campaign strategies tailored to each project (Enrique Iglesias, Magic, Gavin James, Rhodes, Andy Grammer, Chainsmokers, Daya), including launch timing, marketing & promotional plans, digital campaigns, touring, promotion & diary planning with the RO & WW affiliates. • Identify international opportunities and potential that might exist and present such opportunities to management and RO including all the above areas. • Work with the repertoire owner and artist management to understand and shape the domestic artist strategy into a formula for international roll out, assisting in the creation of all marketing assets including, videos, photo shoots etc • Work closely with affiliates in 100+ countries around the world in the creation of local marketing and promotional plans; monitor, nurture and influence these plans through the life of each campaign. • Ensure marketing and promotional plans are effectively implemented and reported back to the department, RO and management as necessary throughout a campaign. • Work with international production to ensure timely scheduling of releases, both physical and digital, altering RO specs as and when appropriate, catering to specific needs of territories while ensuring all deadlines are met. • To make all necessary arrangements for international artist promotion including booking travel and support staff and seeking approval on budgets for such travel in advance of trips being confirmed by line managers, RO and Finance as necessary, accompanying artists on promotional trips and ensuring all results relayed back to international team.
Job Description – Artist Management and Marketing Consultant • Artist management for three artists including Gabrielle Aplin, liaising with record labels, publishers, booking agents, promoters, and so forth, to aid in the growth and development of each artists career. • Marketing Consultancy for Warner Records imprint Operator Records, providing product management support for releases by artists on the label. Acting as central point for all label, promotion and management contacts, to execute fully each release campaign. • Helping to set up and run an independent record label for each management act, providing funding for recording costs and all promotional costs (videos, promo team etc), creating artwork, sourcing production for physical CD's and promo items, running budgets and all other miscellaneous tasks involved in running a label (label copy, song registration, musician and studio hire etc) • Tour management for respective tours of each artist, organizing everything from travel and accommodation, to sourcing musicians, securing gigs and festival slots, routing tours, liaising with promoters for each date, design and manufacturing of merchandise. • Setting up and developing a clothing line with Jamie Ryan Dee, expanding brand identity (via media and public figures) and developing the clothing range collection. • Managing production of Spiked Apparel collections, sourcing designs, location scouting for pop-up shops, speaking with retail buyers about getting Spiked Apparel stocked in their stores and so on.
• Day to day manager of 2 Latin Artists (Pee Wee & Diego): involving coordinating artist schedules with record labels, promoters, television companies and ensuring that everything is executed according to their schedules. • Accompanying artists on all promotional trips/appearances, recording sessions, concerts, private events, public appearances etc. • Assisting in the running of each artists online accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, YouTube etc), including striking a deal with MTV for Pee Wee be the face of MTV Tr3s for 2008 (which generated mass exposure including several online web-chats, gigs, competitions and other exclusives for MTV Tr3s) • Day to day management of producer/composer Rudy Maya, coordinating his writing/recording sessions, pitching songs to artists/labels, organising travel/logistics for all sessions and many other miscellaneous tasks. • Ensuring all the day to day artist responsibilities are delegated/executed accordingly by the respective person • Liaising with companies over sponsorships and endorsements • Day to day running of the publishing arm, involving the registering of all musical compositions, arranging collaborations with artists from SHP, liaising with fellow publishing companies to secure demos for Sixth House artists albums, trying to secure sync and licensing deals with film and television studios/networks.
