About me
Training as a documentary filmmaker and visual artist at the University of London, I have since worked in a diverse range of fields in a creative capacity - from travel marketing to agency life and full circle to producing copywriting, photography and travel/outdoor lifestyle content - for myself and for others. Essentially, my love is finding and telling a great story. I work with brands to help them do this - and I've worked with architects, graphic designers, tensile fabric experts, sound producers and music studios to extract their unique creative personality from their stories. I am inspired by the fact that although the routes we take to achieve our goals are similar, it's the people behind those stories that make a certain brand or company absolutely unique. I aim to showcase these parts of the story. It's much the same in my photography and writing for national publications. I have a passion for promoting rural crafts, wild landscapes and old ways and traditions. I enjoy speaking to people with passions we don't all recognise, but which we all accept are universally important. I've been published by Guardian Travel, The Ernest Journal, Coast, Countryfile, Discover Britain, Reclaim and The Dartmoor Magazine amongst others. I am available for freelance contract work, part time positions, solving one-off catchy copy conundrums or simply providing brand communication, storytelling and social media consultancy work.

Want to find ‘hygge’ in England? Head to Cornwall in winterIn the ‘mizzle’ (a Cornish word for drizzly rain and mist) of Cornwall, Jacob Little finds a peaceful, community-focused world away from the summer crowds. It’s winter. The Cornish wind whips around the crooks and crevices of the county’s boundaries, infiltrating all the empty spaces, where there are no people. From the tops of the desolate moors in Bodmin to the far reaches of Sennen beach in the very west, the whistling replaces the laughter of the millions of excitable holidaymakers that tra

Coast magazine: Wild Camping and Kayaking in the Summer Isles"The Scottish islands have enchanted and enthralled us for millenia. They have provided escape from class and convention, inspired writers and poets, provoked volatile emotional intensity in songwriters and have provided explorers and adventurers with the opportunity to ‘contemplate a system of life almost totally different from what we were accustomed – to find simplicity and wildness and the circumstances of remote time or place.’" More info: http://jacoblittleportfolio.co.uk/my-pieces/coast-
  • The Ernest Journal: The Lost Stations of Cornwall
The Ernest Journal: The Lost Stations of Cornwall"Travel around rural Cornwall by train is time-consuming. At its most frustrating (if you’re in a hurry), in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of a rain storm, it can also be downright creepy. There’s one line that stretches 79 miles from Plymouth to Penzance, and at a top speed of about 65mph for its duration, it’s still a valid and appreciated example of slow travel on the British railway network. " This is an article about the lost lines of Cornwall - be they f
