Projects
  • Portraits
PortraitsA personal project I focused on strengthening my abilities with drawing portraits and close ups of faces. I really love drawing people, especially eyes. Some are based on real people as fan art.
  • The Beauty Myth
The Beauty MythThis project was based on the Beauty Myth novel by Naomi Wolf. I created three final images based on the chapters of the book, that being Culture, Religion, Sex, Work, Hunger and Violence. In order I represented three chapters into final images, work, hunger and culture. I decided to use animals to represent the myths as a premise of going back to our roots and that they are so similar to us in many ways.
  • Eden patterns
Eden patternsFor this part of the project based on the Eden Project I wanted to created visual patterns based on the interesting flowers and plants located at this location, to visualise them as pieces that could be used within wearable and decorative concepts.

     - Isle of ManInternship
I applied for an internship scheme called the STEP programme, set up by the Isle of Man government which paired me with a local cyber security firm. My role was to create leaflets and posters to be used on their website and social media pages to make the information more interesting and accessible. I learnt the importance of working and communicating effectively within a team, problem solving and working within tight deadlines.
