I am a 23 year old graduate who studied at the University of Sussex for three years studying Fashion Design and Production. I am looking to learn and enhance my knowledge through interning, work full time in work related practices that will help me grow my skill base, intellectual knowledge in fashions production, design and end product stage as to how marketing and media works also.

I work as a sales advisor, I have learnt a variety of skills from scanning, unloading, unpacking delivery into different categories women’s, baby/children and men’s. When working delivery I have been taught replenishment-call off is priority to be worked first, allo is to be the second general focus as new stock can be put out later due to older stock already being worked and sizing being put out according to what is already out on the shop floor.
I have been till trained, learnt how to do transactions, returns/online returns, gift receipts, gift card discounts/student discounts and price enquiries. I have also been taught the process of de-tagging, taking off hangers, scanning clothing items and bagging clothing efficiently through in depth training.
Identifying different product codes, seasons by number codes on clothing for price enquiries which allows me to check stock of each colour variation of clothing also. I have learnt how to look after the fitting rooms, counting in the number of items and giving customers a number card to monitor this. General tidying of fitting room, taking out items hung up and making sure each fitting room is tidy.
Clearing rails, that have been sectioned according to ranges is important as women’s is divided into everyday, everyday basics, modern classic, divided for example all have their own section and department within womenswear in H & M and is done accordingly through working delivery and fitting room rails. Folding clothing neatly and displaying it in a presentable immaculate fashion for the customer, sale checking clothing, putting sale tickets on clothing, then putting clothing items in the sale section on department, alongside smaller tasks like replenishing accessories at the tills and keeping accessories section stocked up and replenished throughout the day.
