About me
My name is Jade Hylton and I am a Mixed Black British Creative Entrepreneur and Life Model, Brighton-based. With ten plus years of working in the art industry, my experiences have given me the opportunity to experiment and express myself in a multitude of mediums, from journalism, to photography, from teaching to travelling, all the while learning about my ethnicity and cultural heritage and finding different ways to share my story. After many highs and lows both in work and generally in the world we live in, I am now focused on using my creativity and firm but fair business approach, to create platforms for myself and my community. Safe spaces where we can explore our creative side and grow confidence in being our own bosses.
My main focuses are Black Brighton Market, Life Modelling and my own Life Model class I run; Drawversity. I’m always open and love to take on creative jobs like photoshoots, graphic design jobs, web building and development and other Creative Services.

- ModelI have been a life model since 2019 working mostly around Sussex, for artists, sculptors, photographers and film makers. I have worked alongside some of the UKs most prestigious fine artists, including Jake Spicer, who featured me in his most recent publication that you can find in art stores and gallery gift shops around the world. I have also mused for National Portrait winners like Emma Hopkins, and Sky Arts Portrait winner Wendy Barrett. I have photo reference images available for purchase
- DrawversityDrawversity is a life model class that focuses on introducing more BIPOC to the world of life modelling. They say necessity is the mother of invention. Drawversity was created from my own experience working as a life model – living in such a creative city where Life art is so popular – I had found there really weren’t enough BIPOC Life models in the industry, in a city where there were so many life drawing studios and artists. I wanted to change that, to try and eliminate the class and culture

I was asked by local up-and-coming artist and very close friend – Kymara – to make a Live Music Video.
