Marketing and Events Volunteer | The Rowan Arts Project | London | May - August 2015 The Rowan Arts Project was an arts charity that embraced culture to create a more connected community. My role was to support project leader Nessa Finnegan on the Holloway Arts Festival ‘15. My role included but was not limited to: • Assisting in the setup of events; including an open mic competition that I then hosted, and a community meet and greet for which I was lead facilitator. • Administrative duties; for example creating marketing spreadsheets using excel, advertising up and coming events on various websites, including social media. Updating the project's website, and blogging for a family audience using WordPress. • Approaching businesses in the local area to raise awareness for the event, and to seek new connections to support the festival. My greatest accomplishment whilst with Rowan Arts was setting up and facilitating a Teddy Bears Picnic, and crafts workshop for children aged from three to eight.
