My wide-ranging role in a small team, where I am one of two full-time employees has given me invaluable experience and allowed me to put my passions for culture, events and working with people to practice. I have found it incredibly rewarding to contribute to the overall and rapid growth of the festival by over 25% since I started in 2016 with responsibilities including: • Programming and organising the Children’s Festival, which has grown from just 30 events in 2016 to over 50 events in 2018 including Michael Morpurgo, Judith Kerr and Anthony Horowitz • Managing 15 sponsorship accounts including the headline sponsor. This involves creating bespoke packages for each sponsor, negotiating fees and helping choose suitable events for their sponsorship • Managing the only other full time employee, the festival administrator, along with interns and volunteers which includes allocation of tasks, ensuring deadlines are met eficiently and effectively and ensuring team morale is high • Managing the income and expenditure budgets for the festival while running accurate financial, administrative and evaluative reports to stick within budget • Implementing and managing the festival Box Of ce including analysis of ticket pricing and overseeing and managing Spektrix (our ticketing system) • Working alongside the Brand and Marketing manager on the creative production of design files and marketing material • Arranging venue hire for up to 8 venues across the festival as well as the build of a 9m x 33m marquee, confirming 17 stallholders and logistics for each
