For the past 2 years, I have built and progressed the creative department for the UK office, as part of a global publishing and advertising business. Working across 3 entities of the business; Evolve Media, LCC, Martini Media & The Studio; I have taken charge of the creative direction of new briefs all the way through to building final digital ad campaigns for clients across entertainment, lifestyle, retail, fashion and the affluent market, to designing the brand identity for the new entity of the business. As the Lead Designer here in the UK, my department splits between two sides of the business, one that is honed on Evolve; creating bold, impactful and user-friendly experiences. The other honed on Martini; slick, stylish and high-end design. Whilst here my responsibilities have varied, but they have all been to directly advance the company's creative executions, and consist of: • Leading the design process and the project management of multiple jobs at a time, may it be my mock service to final build executions, presentation graphics to creative templates, aiding and working with client side Creative Agencies, to compiling end of campaign reports. • After creative brainstorms, taking the lead in how to best approach the final ideas considering the design, clients brand, user experience, and overall performance. • Liaising with clients to ensure designs are high quality, follow brand guidelines and perform to their utmost ability. • Designing and managing all marketing material for the new content department of the business (The Studio). • Structuring processes to aid in decisions around creative partners, whilst creating and implementing best practice procedures on keeping strong and trusting bonds. • Managing the creative departments' resources. • Further developing the creative departments' standards and practices to ensure the creative function operates in an efficient and profitable manner. • Managing timelines and directing our overseas creative team on all UK proposals, ensuring design-focused/on-brand creative that will sell. • Keeping a positive attitude and contributing to a positive office morale.
Designing and advancing the creative executions for both the Evolve and Martini sides of the business. • Managing multiple jobs at a time concentrating fundamentally around mocks, final builds and EOC reports. • Creating/acquiring/managing animations for all mocks and necessary final executions. • Taking part in creative brainstorms to come up with creative, out of the box solutions for the Sales team to pitch. • Working alongside multiple teams including Sales, Pub Ops and Ad Ops, to best heighten the effectiveness of our creatives. • Leading in the development/efficiency/archiving of creative assets. • Prepping files for delivery to overseas extensions of our team. • Working alongside my Line Manager to develop the creative departments' standards and practices. • Directing my own development responsibilities.
Leading the archiving process in the HR Department of Deutsch Bank: • Creating and organising digital archives of all HR documents related to recruitment and redundancy into the EPF software. • Managing the HR Departments resources. • Ordering relevant materials to create and organise redundancy packs. • Preparing all print archives for transport to the main archive office.
I worked for an industry leading employment agency where I was sent to numerous companies around Manchester who were in need of experienced administration staff: 1. RICOH @ Eversheds Law Firm - Reprographics: • Photocopying, scanning and binding relevant documents. • E-mailing inbound clients about completed job runs. • Helping to create CD libraries of all documents related to closed cases. 2. XEROX @ Ernst Young - Print & Post: • The organisation, postal procedures and distribution of all incoming and outgoing post to the staff and companies under EY. • Effectively using industrial guillotines, binding, laminating and punching machines to create conference packs, posters and booklets. • Working both fast-paced and slow-paced days where my organisation and time-management were key to getting the required work done every day. 3. ZARA @ Trafford Centre/Central Manchester - Stock Control: • Assisting with the delivery of the new collection for the current season. • Using an NFC reader to scan and print labels for the new collection. • Organising and separating stock for easy rotation for the next coming weeks. • Co-ordinating products for the upcoming season sale from stockroom held and season deliveries. • In charge of the preparation, presentation and mark down of the sale products ready for rotation onto the shop floor. 4. PROMETRIC @ Exam Centre - QA/Reception: • Data entry, locker allocation and identity verification of all exam participants. • Monitoring CCTV footage and patrolling the exam room to make sure all participants were following the outlined guidelines. • Implementing my organisation and communication skills to make sure all participants had a smooth and welcoming process into and out of their exams.
During my years at Boots, I worked as a sales representative for many of the departments the store offered. Mainly based in the photographic department: • Developing, printing & packing of customer photographs • General maintenance and repairs of any machines involved in the photographic labs. • Taking over responsibilities within electrical, fragrance, food, No. 7, and men's skincare when needed. • Demonstrating legendary customer service to customers both serving on the till and helping around the store. • Keeping consistent cash flows throughout the tills • Taking responsibility for both stock/food levels and expiry dates whilst organising/disposing of when necessary. • Recommending customers the right products based on their needs/tastes.
