My main duties were to Ensure all edits are correctly setup and ready before use, digitizing and ingesting files both tape and tapeless. Exporting all video formats, including H.264, MXF, video and audio mixdowns, AAFs and EDL’s. I also did conforms and audio track lays for programs like ‘Don’t Tell The Bride’, ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ & ‘Child Genius’. Finally, I did some more basic but important tasks like assisting with general upgrades and maintenance of equipment and dealing with clients on a day-to-day basis and any issues they may have.
My main duties are to be the first point of contact for edit support, suite set ups, and maintenance, which meant needing to think on my feet and be proactively supporting the rest of the team and Clients. There would also be a lot of other tasks including working with SD and HD tapes, conforming of workflows and deliverables, encoding and transcoding of files, working on offline projects and the managing of Editshare and Nearline Storage.
My main duties were to create and edit small promo projects, ingest and log rushes, grade prepping using Adobe Premiere Pro and sync pulling of rushes and assembly edits. I would also be the first point of contact when it came to problem solving all technical issues of software and be in charge of the maintenance of the servers.
My duties involved watching and editing programs that are delivered to the studio. The programs needed to adhere to Ofcom compliance rules. This would involve minor editing of video and audio, and adding disclaimers for telephone usage. Due to the nature of the programme schedule, turn around was expected to be quick; so an average of between 5 to 10 episodes were edited a day, with quality still in tack.
My main duties were to be the Senior Editor on all projects created by Rocking Horse Studios. Often, these projects would be small commercials for independent companies, in order to help spread awareness. As Rocking Horse Studios is a small company itself, not only would I be positioned as the main Editor, but also Colourist and Sound Mixer. This role was crucial to make sure that all content was TV Broadcast friendly.
My main duties were to do some junior tasks (such as editing live talks, similar to TED talks), and the structuring of the archive and storage system. Other tasks included, helping maintain kit including stock checks. Finally, I was there for all the shooting, rigging and running on set, while working closely with the Producers and Directors to help make sure that their vision and creative ideas were conveyed and delivered successfully.
