About me

Currently working at Rainlight Studio as an industrial designer. Working as part of a team to create and develop designs for various brands. We use a wide range of media to communicate our ideas that have come from a strong understanding of what Rainlight Studios’ philosophy is about. I graduated with a Masters in Design Innovation from Victoria Universities School of Design. I have always taken an interest in all aspects of design whether it be product, interior, spatial or even architecture. I've worked for BoConcept New Zealand which was an interior design job as well as salesman, furniture assembly and makeshift displays. I also have had a previous Internship with Formway Design which involved concept design, model making, material research, supplier sourcing and manufacturing. I have a passion for the designed object and implications it can have, from the way a person interacts with it down to the feel and the way it looks addressing aesthetic needs. I have developed and refined these skills working for Michael Anastassiades, Bethan Gray and Fredrikson Stallard in various roles. My last role was Senior Designer at Minimalux in London which has been great insight into how the design business works globally as well as affording me the skills of concept, development and production of entire projects. The Studio worked creating accessories but had other aspects including lighting, furniture, exhibitions, accessories and many more which allowed for my development. I worked creating Bespoke Commissions, continuation of current range and helped in the development of new product I have a passion for many disciplines of design from Architecture, Interior Design to my learnt topic of product design. I take inspiration from what is built around us and the process that has been taken. I also have a very driven attitude to work reflected in my commitment levels and work ethic. I have knowledge in a range of programmes and technologies both old and new that will come in handy for future work and as well as having a design background, I am a hard worker, easy going and enjoying working in a team or being given responsibility on my own.
