Writer/EditorSigwatch
- London, United KingdomFreelance
Worked as a freelance writer and editor for a company that analyses trends in NGO campaigning and activity worldwide. This involved the checking and editing of translated material, analysis and summary of reports and press releases, and production of high-quality written material to daily deadlines for publication in newsletter format each morning, working with content management systems. I quickly took on extra responsibilities checking the uploads of other contributors and researchers, along with scanning a wide range of NGO websites to discover news stories, exercising editorial judgment in deciding which to report.

The residentials were aimed at Year 12 students from underrepresented backgrounds, hoping to assist in their potential university applications over the coming year by exposing them to university-style teaching and assessment.
