- Love Focussed Like a Laser - Art Basel 2013In 2013 I composed music for an innovative hybrid opera directed by celebrated British artist Matthew Stone. The 20-minute composition featured Kelela (Fade to Mind), Zebra Katz, performance artists Boychild and Andre J, choreographer Madeline Hollander, sex writer Karley Sciortino, model Shaun Ross and environmental designer AJ Gvojic of Thunder Horse Video. Love Focused like a Laser will also feature an evolving video sculpture, ballet dancers, original musical compositions and innovative costuming and styling by Hood by Air.
- 12 Thousand Nights - Album L-Vis 1990 presents 12 Thousand Nights, a stunning new mixtape featuring GAIKA, Mista Silva, Lord Narf and more Since the turn of the decade, L-Vis 1990 has been a key figure in the underground as a DJ, producer and co-founder of the heavily influential Night Slugs label. Now, he melds his skills as a producer and A&R for vocalists, crafting the 11-track “12 Thousand Nights mixtape to represent his progressive vision of hip-hop, r&b, dancehall and pop music. The title 12 Thousand Nights is not just a play on “One Thousand and One Nights,” but a nod to the producer’s age; in many ways, the mixtape is the culmination of his life and career in music to this point. While spending so much time living, working and playing between New York, London and Los Angeles, the producer met and recorded dozens of budding artists along with longtime friends and collaborators Sinjin Hawke, Jimmy Edgar and NA - all of whom contributed additional production.
