A seasoned, versatile producer with over ten years’ experience producing Commercials, Branded Content and Print Campaigns for brands including DIET COKE, NIKE, GUCCI, DUREX, APPLE, DIOR, LANCOME, HAAGEN-DAZS, FACEBOOK & FERRARI, working for production companies including PARTIZAN, HUNKYDORY, KODE & RANKIN with agencies including MCCANN, SAATCHI & SAATCHI, AKQA & OGILVY. Whilst predominantly producing production company side I also have ample experience producing agency side (SAATCHI & SAATCHI, BMB, CHEIL) and client side (DUNHILL & VICTORIA BECKHAM).
Distinctly client facing with a creative sensibility and an entrepreneurial spirit, I am skilled at tailoring production and post strategies to suit the budget and schedule whilst always striving to elevate the creative. I am experienced and comfortable working with a range of budgets from low and medium budget content up to TVCs in the £500k - £1m range.
After receiving a BA (1st) in Film and Television from the University of Westminster, shooting and directing short films, working in Marketing and PR on films including 'TWILIGHT’ (2008), James founded creative production company SPUN FILMS in 2009 where he blazed trails producing digital content for the award winning, interactive publication POST MATTER whom the New York Times praised for ‘Heralding in a new era in digital publishing’ and accrued NIKE, DIOR and GUCCI as principle clients. Spun merged with digital agency Meri Media in 2014 to form MATTER Productions where James worked in a HOP capacity until early 2017 when he became freelance in order to work on a more diverse range of projects.
