James Nathan’s entrepreneurial seed was planted early.
Having worked in the drinks industry for over a decade prior to founding Market Jar, I (James Nathan) experienced first hand the positive impact the right digital marketing campaign has on creating and building brands. I took the company I worked for – an organisation with zero online presence at the time – and turned them into the successful online business that they are today.
Looking around, it was apparent how few other drinks brands had the right digital marketing support in place. So in early 2018 I founded Market Jar with the sole purpose to support and elevate small businesses, not only in the FMCG industry, but also outside too.
Having always been someone who thinks differently – I identify as neurodiverse – I’m constantly trying out innovative marketing ideas alongside traditional growth marketing tactics, to make as big an impact for our clients as possible.

Leica’s top competitor is Nikon. Leica Camera came to Market Jar in August 2018 to ask us to run a media campaign on their Mirrorless Camera System the SL. The movement holds at its core the values of thoughtful, independent, consciously limited production, prioritising absolute quality, and often with a true essence of family running through it.
Fed up with the mass-produced, characterless bottles that adorned most shelves, we made it our aim to seek out small-batch wine producers and bring them to you in an easy to find, seamless platform.
