I graduated from University in 2015 with a First Class Honours in Media Communications and Culture. I have since been gaining marketing experience within the music industry. I have worked for 3 record labels and one major online record store.
Assisting with the general running of the labels. Duties involved; • Assisting with UK Promotions • Physical orders • Distribution This short but valuable experience allowed me to learn how larger labels are run and importantly how they operate as a distributor whilst gaining an insight into their UK Promotions and PR.

The opportunity to work at Wah Wah 45s has allowed me to gain more of an insight into the industry and experience all aspects of how an independent label is run.
Working as part of the marketing content team, duties include; • Ensuring the effective addition of content onto the store • Working closely with marketing and buying teams to ensure work is correctly prioritised • Writing XML / metadata for content on the store • Daily use of metadata • Creating weekly newsletters, playlists and mailers • Managing social media outlets • Working closely with Warp Records on the latest releases and projects • Working on projects with clients that include – Boiler Room, Night Slugs and Secret Cinema • Product photo management, basic Photoshop skills required This valuable internship has allowed me to work across multiple platforms and with multiple clients. It has enabled me to learn, in detail, the logistics of a major online record store that works closely with Warp Records. This in turn has enabled me to work in and amongst an extremely busy independent record label whilst at the same time learning valuable skills and experiences within the music industry.
Working at Showman not only allowed me to gain valuable experience within the events sector, but also to gain knowledge surrounding audio and visual equipment and technologies. Duties involved; • Providing clients with digital images of set designs using Google sketch up. The client would be provided with a full 3D drawing of a proposed set design, which could be edited at their request. • Rigging and de-rigging events in the UK and Europe. A typical event rig would involve setting up the stage and backdrops and installing all necessary audio and visual equipment. • General office admin
