I work in digital because I believe it is the strongest of all mediums. Many artists would dispute this fact, however if you look at it from my perspective you see the ability to paint like the great masters. I sculpt digitally in ways that couldn’t possibly be achieved in reality, I also have the ability to create render and scenes and objects that look as good, if not better than real life. I am a digital illustrator because I refuse to limit myself to the restrictions of the real world, although I still have a strong knowledge base and grasp of traditional art, I refuse to stop there and be limited by the sketching fase. With a strong footing in the Adobe Suite and 3D software such as ZBrush and Blender as well as Substance painter I have the ability to be fully independent when creating. For as long as I can remember I have played games and watched films, longing to be involved in their making which has inspired me to really push doing so as a major life goal. This account of my work follows my journey as an aspiring artist in the big bad world of digital art.
Projects
- Talenthouse Frontier Social Media Product Pack. This product was a concept to capture the essence of a craft beer from Fullers brewery that didn't want to be called craft beer. I ended up creating an animation within Blender with its wind and liquid physics engine. It wasn't chosen by the company, but was a good technical exercise and a way of learning a new workflow to involve 3D in print based media.
