About me
I have always made a living from words and pictures. I write for brands and individuals, I write pitches, proposals, brand stories, product descriptions, social media content, about sections and artist statements. I have written about lingerie, furniture, interiors, art, design, architecture, photography, travel and real estate. I have ghostwritten for many people, among them, a well-known Swedish bombshell and a famous Hollywood actor – I’m not supposed to tell you their names. I have been asked to imagine that I have four legs and none in the spirit of trying to create an authentic tone of voice. The short film I wrote for the Anna Bonny campaign won best new talent at Berlin Fashion Film Festival, a job that led to ghostwriting a TED talk and gave me the pleasure of watching people laugh, cry and applaud at the power of well-chosen words. I came to copywriting from a background in the book publishing world and have worked for various world-class artists, authors, museums and galleries. I love a good story, I love beauty in print, on paper and on screen. I love finding the tone and voice that allow an often abstract idea to come to life.

A selection of weblinks and samples of my work is available here: https://bit.ly/2HTMn2K I began my career working for the BBC in London, producing books that accompanied their TV shows. From there I moved to HarperCollins in New York, where – after a short spell in their adult trade department – I became production director of children’s books. After five years, I was transferred to Hong Kong to take over as managing director of HarperCollins Asia. After a decade of corporate publishing life, I moved back to Europe and decided to freelance in whatever capacity I could that still involved my love of words and visuals. My corporate publishing background has given me a valuable understanding of the pressures and priorities of my clients as well as strategic and business expertise that complements my creative skills. I have been a digital nomad since 2003, adapting my working hours to whatever time zone works for my clients, a happy remote-working system that has given me the best working conditions of my life.
