Jason Allen Greig is a colored pencil artist. The artist was born in 1970 in Carson City, Nevada. Allen Greig graduated from the University of Nevada and holds a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts. He graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. Allen Greig explored different mediums, before discovering colored pencils. The skilled colored pencil artist focuses on the color and light found in everyday objects, when creating his artworks. On a first glance, his drawings appear to be realism or photo-realism. Upon closer inspection, however, it becomes obvious that Allen Greig accurately draws his objects, while manipulating color and light. In this way this artist transcends his art beyond realism. When creating his drawings, Allen Greig uses mostly Stonehenge paper. A technique of layering complementary colors to enrich her shadows, was developed by him. Brilliant rich hues have been created by Jason Allen Greig that have become his signature style. His artworks have won numerous awards. These award include signature status in the Colored Pencil Society of America. Greig is the founder of the company JA Greig Color, through which he sells his artworks.
