About me
Founder/Creative Director at Deadline Creative Limited • Illustrator at jasonmeasures.com • Creator of CounterMeasures.Media • Co-creator of Pugs in Space After graduating in June 1999 in design, photography, illustration and multi-media, I undertook the role of a Creative at Beresfords Design/Appetite Design Consultancy in Oxford Circus. A twenty strong team specializing in brand identity, corporate communications and brand packaging. I then moved to work at Owen Dwelly design in February 2003. ODd consisted of a small team and huge brands. From global footwear advertising and branding for Lacoste to literature and promotional materials for Absolute Vodka, The Savoy Grill and The Greater London Authority. In January 2008 I relocated to Cambodia and freelanced for a variety of NGO’s such as BBC Media Action. One of his primary roles during this time was creating the design and brand strategy that helped to launch a country-wide anti-trafficking campaign for USAID and The Asia Foundation. In June 2008 I returned to the UK and founded Deadline Creative Limited which works extensively with a variety of national and international brands. One of Deadline’s primary clients is The Prince’s Trust. I currently work on all of their advertising, promotional and fundraising materials as well as many other areas covered within the charity. Recently I have started working with Marie Curie Cancer Care, eBay, Mind, British Airways and the Jane Goodall Institute. In 2009, I presented concepts for an advertising campaign to Mubadala in Abu Dhabi. Global brand work followed as well as various advertising campaigns throughout the United Arab Emirates for Ferrari. I was also part of the volunteer focus group involved in the development of the New Design Museum which opened in Kensington in 2016. As well as all of this, I launched Counter Measures in early 2020. This is a YouTube channel that discusses the influence of design and illustration within popular media. The channel also looks at historical influences within the creative industry, as well as reviewing films and games from a design perspective. I also hosts a podcast called ‘Creative Lockdown’ which interviews artistic professionals and discusses their own creative journeys. Towards the end of 2020, I co-created the bi-monthly comic Pugs in Space with Tim Southwell (of Loaded, The Beano and Golf Punk magazine fame). We ran a successful Kickstarter to launch the first issue and have had praise from the likes of Frank Skinner and Nick Frost who have helped support this project. In February 2021 we were proud to announce a collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital. GOSH receives a donation from the sale of each issue (and the Pugs in Space merchandise) and they are now in talks to distribute this book nationally over the coming year. October 2021 was the launch date for the Danger Mouse 40th Anniversary Book. I illustrated and designed the 84 page bookazine and also contributed towards the writing.

The Danger Mouse 40th Anniversary Book 2021October 2021 was the launch date for the Danger Mouse 40th Anniversary Book. I illustrated and designed this 84 page bookazine and also contributed towards the writing for the birthday of the worlds greatest secret agent.
  • Lioness.co Illustrations
Lioness.co IllustrationsLioness.co is a whistle blowing website based in New York. I often create illustrative collages (using watercolours, digital drawings and photoshop) to accompany their articles. Recent work has included an Elon Musk/SpaceX harassment piece which was a feature on Vice.
  • British Airways Portfolio
British Airways PortfolioI have worked with BA for several years and have produced a variety of work for them including ad campaigns, branding, digital screens and animations. These jobs require a wide range of skills from concept to completion.
  • The Prince's Trust Portfolio
The Prince's Trust PortfolioI have worked with The Prince's Trust since 2008. For over a decade I have had the pleasure of being involved with many different projects at a multitude of levels. Below is a cross-section of some of the work I have produced.
  • Pugs in Space
Pugs in SpaceWhen not working on design and illustrations , I like to relax by designing and illustrating. A nice little project born out of the lockdown was co-creating Pugs in Space with Tim Southwell (From the Beano and Loaded). We were very happy to get Great Ormond Street Hospital involved and had a lot of fun with this one. This comic has a growing fan base – some of who we got to meet at The London Film and Comicon in November 2021.

  • LYCRA DAD
LYCRA DADLycra Dad is a film about middle age, competition and status. Director Gray Hughes’ wry, observational short is adapted from a poem by renowned poet Murray Lachlan Young. An innocent school sports day turns into an epic masculine showdown, as a motley bunch of Dads face off at the annual race. The win-at-any-cost mentality has infected one Dad in a bad way. He’s trained for months. Dressed head-to-toe in professional running gear. He needs this win – badly. In his mind, it’s his for the taking
