  • Whilst at MPC I made a major contribution in setting up and informing the direction of the digital department, my input drew upon 13 years experience working in the digital domain and included:- • Shared knowledge and understanding of the digital business models • Introduction of a digital rate card and role definition which is regularly used when quoting digital jobs • Informing partnerships with emerging technologists and research and development companies in areas of creative technology • Forging links through existing contacts in the educational and academic institutions, including University of Westminster. • Introduction of digital project management process and user centred design approach. • Knowledge of usability and interaction design across a variety of digital platforms • Managing people with broad skill sets (project managers, developers, creative’s etc…) • Up-to-the-minute understanding of the digital landscape and utilising this to inform new & existing business. • Resourcing and managing external digital suppliers. • Offering strategic consultancy on digital routes to market. • Bringing a proven understanding (along with hands-on experience) of the underlying technical aspects of web solutions (HTML, XML, .NET, JSP, CSS, Flash/ActionScript etc.) • Implementation of Enterprise level CMS to company website. • Involvement and consultation on MPC website. Key responsibilities include: Contribution to the growth and continued integration,of digital within MPC Commercials core business. Essentially this means: • Identifying and developing opportunities to offer our digital services to both current and potential clients • Acting as the internal expert on all digital projects, working closely with producers, FX Studio creative team and our digital suppliers
