My role at Nerve Media covers all forms of entertainment journalism including; film, television, music, video games and events. I am involved with writing articles including features, opinion-editorials, reviews and group discussions as well as encouraging new writing staff to contribute their own pieces. The writers for Nerve Media are all students at Bournemouth University and Arts University Bournemouth and we maintain the view that student journalism should be made for students, by students.
As well as playing and reviewing games, my role at TIMJ also involves writing features and op-ed articles about recent events in the gaming industry and gaming culture. The turnover of new content allows me to write quickly and respond to emerging news and games as they happen.
I spent my placement year at Sony Professional Solutions Europe expanding my knowledge of Public Relations and Social Media Development. I have worked closely with Sony's Marketing Communication Platform to bring the Sony brand to a wide audience across different sectors, which include; AV Media, Digital Cinema, Video Security, Medical, Corporate and Education. My responsibilities included copywriting, working with agencies across Europe, project management, and being directly involved with European Industry events.
