I joined Maplin as a Studio Designer to help the Design Studio with the upkeep of the website and ad-hoc jobs for the offline team (POS, signage, leaflets etc).
Due to business requirements, I also took over control of the marketing email – both designing and coding – usually under very short deadlines to a send list in excess of 800k recipients.
As well as the emails, I worked on site-wide promotions, coding and scheduling. Including design and building of custom landing pages.
I then helped with the redesign and launch of a new website that is more responsive and mobile friendly and then updated the email to follow the new creative design.

I completed a project to rebuild the former website and assist with the rebuilding and launch of a new website. This was done by updating and transferring all of the existing content on to a new content management system, which has integration with two bespoke systems, one for profiles, and biographies of lawyers that can be used for pitches and an in-house human resources system.
In transferring the documents to the new system I improved the pages SEO and made them optimised for mobile and tablet views along with improving the pages user experience and making sure they are optimised for Google Analytics.
