Southampton Solent University

  • For my final year at university I was required to complete a final major project for a topic of my choice. Due to my aspiration of working in the field of menswear design, I decided to create my own brand from the ground up. Due to time constraints and funds, only two design samples were created with a majority of designs being featured on the website and lookbook. Prior to the design stages I completed a detailed project proposal of my idea, included research into existing brands and other information regarding the promotion of the brand itself from a business perspective. My FMP consisted of: •Iconic logo which incorporated the brand name into the design fantastically •Extensive collection of CAD apparel designs ranging from casual-smart, with all beginning as sketches before being taken into Adobe Illustration •Website designed using Adobe Photoshop design mock ups to work out what worked well visually. It was then designed using MoonFruit •Lookbook designed using Adobe InDesign and later printed to a high standard •SOIGNÉ swingtags were made and attached to two sample products. They were design using a combination of programmes and lasercut for a professional finish •Tote bag featuring heat press designs, product and promotion all in one •Two samples were produced by a tailor to give an idea as to how the product would look visually •Lasercut packaging box which would hold items
