About me

I develop concepts and translate them into visual identities, publications, campaigns, websites—I’m equally comfortable producing either digital or physical work. From 2013—2019 I ran a studio called papa together with developer Sam van 't Oever. We frequently worked together with photographers, type designers, writers and artists to produce memorable work. In addition I've been teaching regularly since 2015 at the Interior Architecture & Furniture Design department of the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.

• Website for Phuture West BookingsPhuture West Bookings is a bookings agency from Rotterdam, and we were asked to develop their website. We created a clear landing page where all the attention is focused on the artists.
• Book design for Christijn GroeneveldChristijn was a professional ice skater until he crashed at full speed during training and broke a vertebra. He had to give up his skating carreer and during rehabilitation he developed a new passion: photography. He followed his friends—professional ice skaters preparing for the Olympics—and asked me to edit and design his book ‘Op Mijn Plaat’.

  Printed matter for WestWest is an international art center in The Hague, and when they started an educational program for children they asked me to design the printed matter. All the material arose from the question: ‘What’s your ideal country?’
