I am a scriptwriter and editor, as well as the co founder Refresh Magazine. I am able to develop ideas in a variety of formats and storytelling. My focus is mainly on subjects and voices that have been silenced as well as social injustices. Writing is engrained into me as part of my job but also as a way to spread meaningful messages and create valuable change. I am currently working on developing two TV pilots.

She was seen as not obeying her ex-husband, under Dubai’s laws. Her case touches upon key inequalities between the treatment of men and women, motherhood, mental health and injustice within the law. She only sees her son Louis for 6 hours a year. Now after the trauma and endless fighting, Afsana has to pay £94,000 to cover her ex-husband’s legal bills. She is just trying to see her son. As
