About me
As an English and American Literature graduate and with recent experience in travel writing and copy editing for an online travel guide, I am looking for a role that is the perfect opportunity for my skills already developed to be exercised further. Along with my degree, my past administrative and customer service based work experience means that I also have acquired the necessary literary and inter-personal skills required to excel. This includes acute grammar and spelling and a great attention to detail. I am also a keen learner and strive to perfect any task undertaken.

As part of a group constructing our own travel guide, I undertook this is course to refresh and develop my writing skills further, whilst exploring a new writing style in the form of review writing. The additional skills I developed included: • Editing skills – as primary copy-editor I was able to gain an insight into the responsibilities of being an Editor, including extreme attention to detail and perfect time keeping skills. • Descriptive and detailed writing – being an active observer of my surroundings to obtain an appropriate level of detail within a different writing approach. • Team work and independent working skills – whilst working as part of a group, I also took on an additional task in writing a feature on David Bowie’s time in Berlin – something of specific interest to me and that I took great pride in writing.
