  • Cutler and Gross is a luxury eyewear brand founded by Graham Cutler and Tony Gross in 1969. They are based in the Knightsbridge area of London. • As a Design Assistant I worked independently to research and gather trend and theme inspiration for the AW17 collection theme, which was then presented both visually and verbally to the Creative Director and design team. • Created colour palettes and generated print and pattern concepts for the AW17 collection.

  • I was contacted by and worked closely with John Frieda's PR team at The Communications Store to design and produce 25 neoprene clutch bags for the promotional campaign of a new range of 'beach hair' products. • Responsible for sourcing and contacting fabric suppliers that would digitally print a specific Pantone shade onto neoprene. • Used Photoshop and Illustrator to create designs and CAD mock ups. • Sourced fastenings. • Negotiated with a West Midlands-based factory in order to get the bags sewn within budget. • Worked to a tight deadline. • Responsible for communicating with the PR Account Manager throughout the entire project and ensured that I understood their specific requirements.

  • Hybrid Arts are a non-profit arts enterprise based in Leamington Spa – a small team doing their bit to develop the UK’s Creative Economy workforce of the future. • Assisted the Managing Director with both administrative and ad hoc duties. • I was highly-involved in strategic decision making, such as interviewing and selecting candidates. • Prepared and planned lessons to deliver to students working towards an NCFE Level 2 qualification in Art & Design. • Prepared and carried out screen-printing workshops for students with structured lesson plans and in line with the relevant syllabus. • Carried out print studio maintenance, ordering supplies and ensuring materials and studio were cleaned and organised effectively. • I implemented a research archive of relevant press clippings and online articles. • I compiled press releases for projects developing my copywriting skills. • Organised and wrote job specifications for new candidates and employees. • I was responsible for sourcing and contacting fabric suppliers. • Carried out trend and colour research for both the fashion and interior markets, and presented them on mood and concept boards to the rest of the team in weekly meetings. • Generated textile print designs by drawing and painting, using both screen-printing and CAD • Worked closely alongside the in-house fashion designer steering the creative direction, concepts and creating product prototypes in preparation for the launch of the 'Beauty & Truth' brand.
