About me
Born, raised and living in London, Jennie is an artist who creates unique and beautiful abstract designs. After graduating from Goldsmiths College in 1999 with a BA (Hons) 2.1 in Communications, Jennie worked within public relations, marketing, television and high-end retail. In 2012, Jennie rediscovered her artistic tendencies, focusing on photography. Since 2015, Jennie has studied and practiced photography at Richmond Adult Community College under the tutelage of Zbigniew (Zig) Mroz. Jennie will be continuing her photographic studies in 2016 to develop her skills and techniques further while exploring other concepts. Jennie utilises digital photography technology to create and abstract images. All pieces are available as made-to-order, printed and hand-framed by fine art printers and substrate specialists. Substrates include aluminium, glass and wood. Jennie is also working in partnership with a glass splash back specialist. Jennie has a fascination with light and how it affects colours both of original works of art and the natural environment. The initial concept behind Jennie's current work was to capture this and create pieces that couldn't be reproduced 100% on a computer screen. The images featured on this site were taken in Bushy Park and Richmond Park. Jennie has spent many an hour in these two Royal Parks taking photographs and studying how the differing seasons and daily light conditions affect the abstractions. Jennie is also able to create bespoke commissions, including sets or collages of co-ordinating or contrasting colours to add impact to domestic, leisure or business environments.
Projects
  • Two Blue
Two BlueI was commissioned by Paula Trovasluci Interiors to create a dyptic for a newly converted kitchen/dining area. The client wanted a talking piece for this living area that would create a big visual impact. The two pieces are 32" x 32" aluminescent prints set within a 1.5" black wooden boxframe.
