I am a visual artist who has an anthropological, archaeological & allegorist practice that is both research and installation based, which responds to the human conditions.. Having just won Sheffield Hallam University 2016 award for 'Research and Innovation' in partnership with Maxine Greaves. I utilise installation & photographic media including chemical & digital processes, organising exhibitions, public artworks, interventions and happening: engaged in conceptual methodology & education.
I am able to offer comprehensive experience working as a contemporary exhibiting artist, educator, senior public and strategic arts officer, consultant, EU speaker on using creativity to build disengaged communities, well bring and intergenerational practice: Integrating private, pubic and non traditional sectors: From nursery to University : coupled with excellent practical based skills , managing and commissioning budgets from 500 to One Million pounds. This includes developing evaluation research tool for arts & health for qualitative and quantitative data.
As a freelancer I have worked for and continue to be employed by BFI, Into Film, Children Media Conference, DocFest, Arts Council, Yorkshire Housing, Cambian Oaks Private Mental Health Unit, Heeley Development Trust and Grimm & Co. as Artist in Resident to Bluecoat in Liverpool and Art House Berlin.
As a practicing artist, I have just had an exhibition in New York and Shoreditch London, and currently making a documentary about art & disability with Colin Pons from Studio of the North. Also, I am currently working collaborative with D-Lab, Quad Gallery and People Express to generate interactive live animation.
