I joined REVL, a brand new events app for the UK, in the very early stages of development. I was tasked with establishing the tone for this brand new lifestyle app and directing the content strategy for the wide-range of events in the app. The aim is to be the most exhaustive yet easy-to-navigate events search engine and we currently have over 150k across the UK in 19 core interest categories. As Editor, I deliver a multi-channel editorial strategy that spans in-app curation, CRM, social media, push messaging, PR and partner collaborations. I also work closely with the Marketing Manager to concept and create all install adverts. Video is huge for REVL too, so my job includes filming at events, commissioning and directing freelance videographers plus post-creation project management of video seeding.
In my current position as Editorial & Social Media Manager at French Connection I develop and direct the social media and content strategy for the fast-fashion retailer on a global scale. My focus was to brand create content that helped build awareness, gained real-time engagement and transitioned into sales and footfall. I also implemented and oversaw the influencer outreach programme, aligned regional and international content to the FCUK tone & style and wrote copy for outdoor and digital advertising, in-store POS, emails and blogs. Commissioning and directing video content was also crucial to the role.
Joining the popular global brand as the sole copywriter gave me the opportunity to re-establish French Connection’s tone of voice across all brand, marketing, social, in-store, ecommerce and product copy. I also designed, managed and created all content for the brand's blog, Off The Record.
