I am Jenny, a London-based insights and trend researcher with nearly 2 years industry experience. I have worked on a range of client projects and pitches including Tesco, Wickes, TSB, Vodafone, Lakeland, Christian Louboutin and The Body Shop, uncovering customer behaviour trends and innovative experiences to lead inspirational strategy and design. I have a strong understanding and interest in the design process, regularly getting involved with layout design, film production and branding communications when there is the opportunity. I’m naturally curious and inquisitive, constantly keeping my finger on the pulse, whether scrolling through Twitter or Reddit, visiting the latest exhibitions, watching all manner of TV or pouring over publications from the Fast Company to National Geographic. My work focuses on commercial timeliness, creating concepts that hold an importance in the present whilst looking towards the future. I am an undaunted communicator, inspired by a challenging brief and trends to discover. www.jennysturrock.com
Across client project work, new business & marketing and sharing knowledge with the studio I gathered first-hand research (e.g. store audits, vox pops, events etc) and desk research (e.g. best practice innovation, analysing trend reports and reading industry publications) to help lead innovative and inspiring strategy and design – collaborating with all members of the wider team. I regularly presented my research to the studio and project teams and compiled reports and content for the Household blog. I also initiated and helped to run a live project brief with students at Northumbria University, helped to run Household Hearts (a company initiative that raises money for charity), ran the company Instagram feed and regularly organised studio activities such as a monthly book club and a Eurovision song contest sweepstake – I love to be an active member of the team, getting involved in anyway I can!
Supporting the insights and strategy team to research for client projects and pitches – e.g. writing weekly mailers, gathering best practice innovations, carrying out store audits and customer vox pops.
