Projects
- Chairline‘Chairline typo’ was first inspired by the shape of a chair. I have always been fascinated by chairs. One day during my research, I happened across a line sketch of chairs and was immediately captivated. I also noticed that the lines composing the chairs also looked like letters, which inspired me to make a typo art series that depicted the letters of the alphabet from A to Z. Through this project, I wanted to emphasize the free interrelationship between the realms of 2D and 3D.
- REGATHER HANGUL : Touch and FeelAs it is a project about bridging the gap between separated families of North and South Korea, I designed outlet for cross-peninsula communication _typo and applied to real patchwork. Most of art works are displayed for just looking but I want people feel more than it. Based on this idea, I make big size of patchwork that people can walk and touch and displayed on floor of Gwanghwamun plaza in centre of Seoul, South Korea.
- Regather Hangul This campaign is made to encourage separated families between North and South Korea to communicate with each other. Previously Korea was one country before being divided into two parts in 1950 after the Korean War which resulted in many families being broken up. Many Koreans still hope of being reunited with their families currently living on the other side of the North or South region, but due to the lasting negativity between the two sides, it seems impossible. Does any body have the right to separate families? 'Regather Hangul' aims to resolve this sorrow by letting families communicate with an open and vibrant visual language.
