  • Claystation - Art on the Underground
Claystation - Art on the UndergroundI spent my summer hand-making tiles as a trainee for Assemble's Art on the Underground commission. I'd never worked with ceramics before but enjoyed the challenge. We made over 1000 tiles which were used to clad the exterior of a formerly derelict kiosk outside of Seven Sisters station. It's since been turned into a tiny coffee shop which is pretty cool.
  • Urban Visionaries
Urban VisionariesFor Art on the Underground's Canary Wharf Screen: Season 7, FLAMIN presented three programmes celebrating the films it has commissioned from London-based artists over the past 13 years. Selected from over 100 works commissioned for galleries, cinema and television, the films, which demonstrate the rich diversity of artists' practice in the capital, were screened from January to April 2014. Ester project managed this season, editing and copyrighting the catalogue/programme, selecting and confirming films, liaising with the post-production company responsible for putting the films into compilations which were then screened on a loop, and promoting the season via different networks and social media channels. The programme included films by: Miranda Pennell, Carol Morley, Lindsay Seers, Charlotte Ginsborg, Martina Amati, Esther Johnson, Andrew Kötting, Ben Rivers, Laure Provost, Michael Landy, Georgina Starr, Shezad Dawood and Susanna Wallin.
  • Art Night 2016
Art Night 2016The first edition of Art Night was curated by the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), with curator Kathy. Noble, who will present a series of artists’ works and new commissions in unusual locations. From a luxury flat on the Strand to a disused Jubilee line platform in Charing Cross Underground station, a range of buildings and public spaces across Westminster will form the stage for a series of large-scale art installations and performances for one night only.
