J Wakelin Ltd is a bespoke consultancy and design company based in the UK. Our dedicated team has been working in the technology and design industry for over 15years. Jess Wakelin created J Wakelin Ltd in 2014 as she wanted to give more time to her clients and be an advocate for the end user. We now work with a variety of clients based in the UK, Germany, US, and South Africa.
The Director, Jess Wakelin. has been working in mobile and digital technologies for many years and specializes as a Digital Learning Designer primarily in mobile learning design. Her past work can be found in high-end corporate learning apps, in medical support apps for disaster relief, and in rural classrooms in Africa.
At J Wakelin Ltd, we’re known for 'cutting through the hype' to ensure that the product is delivering something that the end users want, and our clients end up with a usable, engaging, innovative product.
We’re user-centered in our approach and always pushing for the best experience. We have expert User experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) designers with deep knowledge of interaction design and design processes and take the vaguest concept through user research, stakeholder interviews, and design sessions and turn it into concrete, well-thought-out user flows and prototypes.

Jess Wakelin, of J Wakelin Ltd, role in the design of the Medical Content Delivery Service (MCDS) was to serve as the Platform Owner/facilitator of a multidisciplinary team consisting of developers, medical content experts and. Tasks included
▪ Assisted the Lukos in managing outputs of the team
▪ Managed the project and product design process using a management tool called Asana. Jess created high level epics, user stories and tracked the tasks for the product delivery
▪ Lead the user experience for the development and delivery of the website and mobile apps.
▪ Worked alongside the team to keep everyone aligned to make sure what is developed is technically possible, fits into the framework, and delivered ready available content to the users.
▪ Designed and created the Product Requirements Documentation. Each feature/requirement was documented, reviewed and approved in detail before release.
▪ Provided quality control for features in releases, ensuring they met the requirement.
